The opinions expressed here on the OnlineDownloads blog are that of myself – Little Nicky – as an individual and are not necessarily the opinions of nor reflect the views of any companies I have ownership interest in.
Every now and again I might review a product or service on my blog. If I believe it’s a good product, and the merchant selling said product or service has an affiliate program, I have no issue referring other people to a *good* product/service with an affiliate link, which means I might be paid a commission if you buy the product I recommend.
Why am I explaining this?
But the FTC feels I need to explain that in detail because otherwise, they think you might not be smart enough to see the difference between a real review and a bullshit review on your own. They think I might be willing to sell my reputation for an affiliate commission. They’re wrong. But I have to tell you anyway to cover my own expenses.
If you think it taints the reviews I write on my site, you’re welcome to get the hell off my blog – and be sure not to let the virtual door hit you on the way out.
Go ahead for further information.

Any content, advertising space or post that comes with compensation via product, service or cash will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content. I will identify such content as follows:
(aff): Affiliate links, meaning if you purchase a product after clicking on any of these links, I will receive a commission on the sale.
(review): I received only a free sample of the product or service to review and write about my thoughts. What I write reflects my honest opinion, and I am under no obligation to write a positive review. However, I try to weed out products I don’t believe would be useful to me or my readers before agreeing to do a review in the first place. When I do reviews, I will offer my fair, balanced opinion and list pros and cons.
(sponsored opp): A sponsored opportunity in which a company or PR firm paid my way to an event, sent me on a trip, or otherwise sponsored me via a product, service or compensation for my time. As a part of their sponsorship package, they may have requested that I write a review or series of posts about their products or services on my site. The opinions contained in these posts are my own, and again, I am under no obligation to write a positive review.
(sponsored post): An advertiser has written their own copy, edited by me, and paid me a fee for posting it on my site. These posts will appear infrequently and will not contain my opinion.
