No doubt, Twitter is damn HOT. Starting from Barak Obama to Sarah Palin, everyone are using Twitter. Celebrity twitters are also famous. So why not use Twitter as a marketing technique. How do use twitter for making money is the question of hour.
Personally, I do get lot of emails asking me how do you twitter. I don’t want to say it’s damn easy. If you follow some simple twitter safety tips, then you can get tons of traffic. Recently, I’ve gone through ZERO FRICTION MARKETING resource which has a good section on how to twitter. It includes:
How Do You Twitter – Tip 1:
First, let’s go over how to Twitter, and how to set up your account profile the right way. First, you want to include a photo of yourself, and try to make it a good one – people want to see who they are following on Twitter. If you want to maximize your followers, having more then the default Twitter icon on your profile can only help you. You can upload a photo under the “Picture” tab in Settings.
How Do You Twitter – Tip 2:
The next thing to note, which is also very important, is a nice background. Whether you find a free background or pay to have one made for you, the idea is to have a background that emphasizes your personal style, rather than one of the stock Twitter backgrounds everyone else has. It should reflect your personality or your business.
How Do You Twitter – Tip 3:
If you have a Twitter account promoting a certain niche like weight loss or teeth whitening, or even if it is just a general-purpose account, you might want to add information to the left-hand side of the background, such as a website URL or a larger photo, but there is nothing wrong with a nice-looking plain background.
How Do You Twitter – Tip 4:
You can upload a custom background or change your background colors under the “Design” tab in the Settings section of your Twitter account.
How Do You Twitter – Tip 5:
After you have created your profile, do not start following people just yet – you want to post about 10 tweets first – the subject matter is not terribly important for these first tweets, though if the account is targeted at a specific niche you could tailor your first tweets to that niche.
Make sure that you are “keeping it real,” because when you start following people, you want them to start following you back. Be professional, and don’t follow anyone until you have posted at least 10 tweets.
