Pay Per Click Marketing Secrets Exposed:
We are more likely to do business with a website on the first page. The business owner pays an agreed-upon amount every time someone clicks on their advertisement. This is known as pay per click marketing. If you do it properly, it can instantly boost traffic to your website. As with many things, doing it wrong will cause problems. I’m here to teach you the right way.
In pay per click marketing, you set the budget and the keywords. You can specify how much you are willing to pay for each ad, which affects how many times the ad is run per month. Your online marketing budget remains the same from month to month, making financial forecasting easier.
Pay per click marketing depends on keywords and keyword phrases. When a potential customer types a query into Google, the search engine will match those keywords with keywords you have chosen for your pay per click marketing campaign. All that time spent developing variations of keywords will really help you here.
Broad Keyword Matches:
When Google tries to match keywords, there are several options. In the first option, the search engine looks for broad keyword matches. Type in dog bones; Google will seek any general match, though there may be words before, after, or in between. Not only will you get dog bones, you also get dog chew bones, bones for dogs, treating broken bones in dogs … the list goes on.
Phrase Match:
In the second option, known as phrase match, Google looks for the exact words in the exact order. When “dog bones” (with quotation marks) is entered, the results show the words dog and bone in that order. While this is a closer match, it’s still not perfect. Results would show red dog bones, rawhide dog bones, free dog bones – anything that includes “dog bones”.
Exact Keyword Matching:
The third option is exact keyword matching. Let’s say you have chosen natural dog bones for your keyword. You place the keyword in brackets. This targets your website, so only those who type in the exact keyword phrase will see your site advertised on the right-hand side. Those who choose, say, red dog bones will not see your ad.
Negative Keyword Matching:
Pay per click sites also use negative keyword matching. You can specify which keywords you don’t want to be linked to your ad. If someone is looking for free dog bones, and you have selected “free” as a keyword to be eliminated, they will not see your ad. This helps you to target your market better.
