Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has announced that he will step down of active role with the company. His last official day of work at Microsoft would be on June 27th and there after he would spend more time on his charitable works mainly on Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Though a Harvard University dropout every one of us would remember the services rendered by Mr. Bill Gates. Every PC user will recognize Bill Gates for his extraordinary work in making windows operating system. He’s become the synonym for the world’s richest person. Presently he may be the world’s third richest person but it is what his work made him the richest person in the world.

Bill Gates has made it public 2 years back that within July 2008 he would step down from Microsoft. According to him, “It’s not a retirement; it’s a reordering of my priorities.” As per the Microsoft new schedule, the present Chief Technical Officer, Ray Ozzie will become Chief Software Architect and would work with Steve Ballmer (CEO).

We Miss You, Mr Gates

Personally, I think Microsoft would miss the services of Bill Gates. It may be a struggling time for Microsoft with the setbacks issues like failure of Windows Vista, losing 5% market share to Apple’s Macintosh computers, failed Yahoo acquisition and above all battling with Google over internet search and advertising market.

Hope for the best of Microsoft and Bill Gates charity foundation that helps in improving the social and health aspects of downtrodden people mainly countering AIDS and other deadly diseases.
